Listening to: Hello World – Yuka Iguchi (DanMachi OP)
This review is free of major spoilers, in the interests of being helpful to those who are considering watching the show in question.

DanMachi, a.k.a. Familia Myth, a.k.a. “Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon?” is one of the anime that I followed along with this season, and it was certainly an experience. There’s certainly more to it than just having three titles… so, without further ado, let’s get into it.
DanMachi is the story of Bell Cranel, a young man who wants to become an adventurer. He lives in the city of Orario, which has an RPG-style multi-floor dungeon in the basement. People enter the dungeon to… uh, get money. And items. So that they can purchase new gear for delving through the dungeon… or something. (I was never really clear on that. Well, never mind.) Every adventurer who goes into the dungeon is supposed to be associated with a god or goddess, and those who are are considered to be part of that deity’s “Familia.” The gods and goddesses are drawn from pretty much everywhere: there’s Freyja and (female) Loki from Norse mythology; Hestia, Hermes, and (female) Hephaestus from Greece; Miach of the Tuatha de Danaan; the Hindu god Ganesha; and the Japanese god Takemikazuchi… to name a few.
